Organizations
An Organization is the top-level entity in SipPulse AI. It owns all projects, members, billing, and resources. You can belong to multiple organizations and switch between them instantly.
What is an Organization?
Every SipPulse AI account starts with one organization, created during signup. Organizations are independent — each has its own:
- Projects and workspaces
- Members with roles and permissions
- Billing and subscription plan
- API keys and credentials
- Agents, knowledge bases, and all other resources
When to Create Multiple Organizations
Multiple organizations are useful when you manage completely separate businesses, clients, or departments that should not share any resources or billing. If you just need to separate workloads within the same team, use Projects instead.
Creating an Organization
- Open the Organization Switcher in the sidebar (click your organization name)
- Click Create Organization
- Fill in the organization name and details
- Click Create
You are automatically assigned as the Owner of the new organization. A Default Workspace is created for you, just like during initial signup.
Switching Organizations
The Organization Switcher is located at the top of the sidebar. Click it to see all organizations you belong to, then select the one you want to work in.
When you switch organizations:
- The active project resets to the Default Workspace
- All pages update to show resources from the new organization
- A brief loading overlay appears while the context switches
- Your API keys, credentials, and agents from the previous organization are no longer visible
WARNING
Switching organizations does not affect external integrations. API keys and webhooks continue operating in the organization where they were created, regardless of which organization you are currently viewing.
Inviting Members
Organization Owners and Admins can invite new members by email.
Sending an Invitation
- Navigate to Team Management in the sidebar
- Click Invite Member
- Enter the person's email address
- Select a role for the new member
- Click Send Invitation
An email is sent with a unique invitation link. No password is needed — the invited person sets up their own account.
For New Users
When someone who doesn't have a SipPulse AI account receives an invitation:
- They click the invitation link in the email
- A public Account Setup page opens (no login required)
- They fill in their name and create a password
- After completing setup, they are automatically logged in and taken to the organization
For Existing Users
When someone who already has a SipPulse AI account receives an invitation:
- They click the invitation link
- They are taken to an acceptance page
- After accepting, the new organization appears in their Organization Switcher
Resending an Invitation
If a member's status shows as Pending, the invitation hasn't been accepted yet. To resend:
- Find the pending member in the Team Management page
- Click the actions menu (⋮) on their row
- Select Resend Invite
A fresh invitation email is sent to the same address.
Member Status
Each member in your organization has a status visible in the Team Management page:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending | Invitation sent but not yet accepted |
| Active | Member has accepted and has normal access |
| Suspended | Access temporarily blocked by an admin |
Pending members appear with reduced opacity. Suspended members show a red status indicator and are sorted to the bottom of the list.
For details on suspending and managing members, see Team Management.
FAQ
Can I belong to multiple organizations?
Yes. You can be a member of as many organizations as you like and switch between them at any time using the Organization Switcher.
What happens to my resources when I switch organizations?
Nothing changes. Resources stay in the organization where they were created. Switching only changes which organization's resources you see in the interface.
Are API keys shared between organizations?
No. Each API key belongs to the organization where it was created. Switching organizations does not affect API key behavior — they always authenticate against their original organization.
What happens if I invite someone who is already a member?
You will see an error indicating that the email is already associated with a member in this organization.
